About the Role

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our LATAM remote team at Nortal. You will design, automate, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure in AWS, playing a key role in building resilient systems and defining reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities

→Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions using AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS, MSK, Lambda, CloudFront)
→Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD)
→Architect and manage multi-region, highly available systems for business continuity and disaster recovery
→Lead incident response, postmortems, and root cause analysis
→Define and manage SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
→Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
→Implement and manage observability solutions (Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
→Ensure cloud security best practices (IAM policies, secrets management, audit logging)
→Conduct cost optimization, capacity planning, and performance tuning
→Mentor junior engineers and contribute to operational excellence initiatives

Requirements

✓Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
✓5+ Years of experience working in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
✓Advanced AWS experience
✓Strong Terraform and Kubernetes expertise
✓CI/CD automation experience
✓Experience defining and managing SLOs/SLIs
✓Incident response and root cause analysis experience
✓Observability stack implementation
✓Experience with GitOps practices (ArgoCD)
✓Multi-region and disaster recovery architecture experience
✓Cost optimization and cloud performance tuning
✓Experience mentoring other engineers
✓Advanced English Level is required for this role
