About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our team at Neo Financial in Calgary. As a technical leader in the mobile space, you will drive best practices, own complex features end-to-end, and mentor team members while scaling our highly-rated Android application.
Key Responsibilities
- →Architect and develop highly reliable, maintainable, and scalable features in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- →Serve as a strategic partner in the integration, optimization, and maintenance of Android applications
- →Drive architectural decisions and advocate for best-in-class Android patterns
- →Lead complex technical projects from conception through deployment
- →Mentor and coach intermediate and junior developers
- →Perform rigorous code reviews and champion extensive unit and UI testing
- →Optimize app performance, stability, and responsiveness
- →Refine CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
- →Lead the adoption of AI-powered development tools like GitHub Copilot
Requirements
- ✓6+ years of full-time, hands-on experience as an Android Developer
- ✓Expert-level fluency in Kotlin and deep understanding of modern Android architecture
- ✓Proven experience designing and building large-scale applications with Jetpack Compose
- ✓Expertise in GraphQL implementation and optimization within a mobile environment
- ✓Strong familiarity with Kotlin and experience with React Native
- ✓Demonstrated ability to mentor other developers
- ✓Deep experience with CI/CD practices and automating releases to the Google Play Store
- ✓Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada and willing to relocate to Calgary
