About Netskope
Today, there's more data and users outside the enterprise than inside, causing the network perimeter as we know it to dissolve. We realized a new perimeter was needed, one that is built in the cloud and follows and protects data wherever it goes, so we started Netskope to redefine Cloud, Network and Data Security.
Since 2012, we have built the market-leading cloud security company and an award-winning culture powered by hundreds of employees spread across offices in Santa Clara, St. Louis, Bangalore, London, Paris, Melbourne, Taipei, and Tokyo. Our core values are openness, honesty, and transparency, and we purposely developed our open desk layouts and large meeting spaces to support and promote partnerships, collaboration, and teamwork. From catered lunches and office celebrations to employee recognition events and social professional groups such as the Awesome Women of Netskope (AWON), we strive to keep work fun, supportive and interactive. About the role
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be critical to designing and implementing the test automation infrastructure and quality assurance practices for our Agentic AI platform. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable next-generation security analytics and AI-powered capabilities within Netskope's platform. You will combine deep software development expertise with a quality mindset, focusing on system reliability, performance, and security testing across cloud-native architectures.
About the team
We are seeking an exceptional Senior SDET to build robust testing frameworks for next-generation security analytics and AI-powered capabilities within Netskope's platform. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who excels at designing automation to test complex technical problems at the intersection of artificial intelligence, large-scale data systems, and cybersecurity. You will help ensure that the sophisticated systems leveraging cutting-edge AI/ML techniques, graph-based analytics, and real-time data processing meet the highest standards of quality before they help security teams at the world's largest enterprises detect and respond to threats.
What's in it for you
This is your chance to work at the absolute intersection of Artificial Intelligence, large-scale Data Systems, and Cybersecurity. You will be critical to defining and building the automation and quality standards that enable engineering teams to ship reliable and secure features at scale. Your work will directly impact the reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our software delivery lifecycle, ensuring foundational environments and cutting-edge features are rigorously tested and production-ready.
What you will be doing
β’ Design, develop, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks, infrastructure, and test beds for large-scale, high-performance cloud services.
β’ Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, including functional, performance, reliability, and security testing, for Agentic AI security capabilities.
β’ Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipelines to ensure safe, repeatable, and reliable deployments across environments.
β’ Focus on quality assurance for systems that drive the continuous detection and posture management of sensitive or risky data utilized by LLMs and multi-agent systems.
β’ Work closely with application and AI/ML engineers to analyze requirements and implement quality checks throughout the software development lifecycle.
β’ Support customers by investigating and reproducing production issues, ensuring effective test coverage for bug fixes.
β’ Set up and validate monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively measure and optimize system performance and reliability.
β’ Contribute to product development: understand customer requirements and work with the product team to design, plan, and implement quality features.
β’ Help us improve our processes and make the right tradeoffs between agility, cost, and reliability.
β’ Collaborate with the teams across geographies.
Required skills and experience
β’ 10+ years of professional experience in an SDET, Test Automation, or Software Development role with enterprise-grade software.
β’ Must have experience in designing and building scalable, high-performance test automation frameworks for cloud services.
β’ Strong coding skills in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
β’ Experience developing and testing on cloud platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
β’ Deep knowledge on databases and data warehouses (OLTP, OLAP), with experience testing data integrity and performance.
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for building test environments and validating containerized workloads.
β’ Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar) for continuous testing integration.
β’ Proven track record of strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
β’ Analytical and troubleshooting skills, comfortable working with ambiguity and rapid change in a dynamic environment.
β’ Cybersecurity experience and adversarial thinking is a plus.
β’ Experience leveraging cloud-based AI services, vector databases, or Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures for testing purposes is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with LLM development, deployment, and optimization techniques is a plus.
Education
β’ BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred
