What youβll be doing
Based in Mumbai, you will support international companies to grow and scale in India and/or enter the Indian market. Working as a generalist across a diverse portfolio of customers spanning multiple sectors (Technology, Food & Beverage and Manufacturing), you will help customers develop and execute business growth plans by providing insight on the realities of the market, developing solutions that meet their ambitions, identifying potential in-market partners, helping develop channels to market, and building growth opportunities.

You will leverage your existing commercial relationships and be supported in further developing networks across relevant sectors. You will build and develop ongoing relationships with companies, acting as a trusted advisor through different stages of market entry and growth (not just making initial introductions), with the aim of converting opportunities into value for your customers. It is preferred that you have experience in international business / corporate development, and/or market growth strategy, with experience in business consulting or management also highly valued.

You will also play a key role in evaluating the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for our customers in comparison to their competitors, and then assist them in shaping and reshaping their strategies and business models to help them succeed.

You will bring comprehensive knowledge and personal networks in relevant sectors, with an ability to operate as a generalist across a variety of customer needs. Experience working with a trade promotion organisation or trade agency is highly advantageous.

What youβll need to be successful
Possessing at least 7 years relevant experience in international business development, specifically helping companies to localise in India, enter and expand in the Indian market. You will have a solid generalist background across Food & Beverage, Manufacturing and/or Technology (or deep expertise in one sector with the ability and appetite to operate across others). Youβll need a firm understanding of the practical challenges of growing a successful international business in India, and the confidence and maturity to engage credibly with senior stakeholders (including CEOs).
