About the Role
NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Computer Programmer to design, develop, and maintain software applications that support organizational systems and business processes. The ideal candidate will contribute throughout the software development life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications based on defined requirements
- →Write, modify, and debug code using one or more supported programming languages
- →Collaborate with analysts, developers, and other IT staff to implement technical solutions
- →Participate in system and application testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- →Maintain documentation for application code, configurations, and technical procedures
- →Support deployment, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of software applications
- →Follow established coding standards, security guidelines, and development best practices
Requirements
- ✓Four-year degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- ✓Minimum of three years of experience in a related Information Technology (IT) role
- ✓Experience programming in one or more of the following languages or technologies: C++; Java / J2EE; Visual Basic; .NET; HTML / XML; PowerBuilder; Delphi
- ✓Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts and methodologies
- ✓Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher
