We're looking for a Manager, Engineering to join our Data Engineering team in Frankfurt/Main. You will be leading one of our core data platform teams, which is responsible for processing, storing, and serving data for all our core systems.
This role will be based in the Frankfurt office. Our team follows a hybrid schedule, working in the office three days a week and remotely for the rest.

What Youβll Do:
- Lead and mentor one of Nexxen's data lake teams within our data organization
- Take part in building & designing the next generation of big data solutions
- The hybrid role also includes hands-on development work
- Steer high-level projects with company-wide visibility
- Responsible for the team roadmap, team building, and execution of SW projects in the group.
- Collaboration with various stakeholders: developers, product managers, business operations, and customers β¨
- You will be responsible for end-to-end feature development and ownership, from design to production
- Research core technologies and integrations with external APIs and services.
What Youβll Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in leading an engineering team
- 6+ years of data engineering experience as a developer, tech lead, or architect
- 4+ years of experience in Java
- Strong system architecture knowledge
- Experience in building high-volume and scalable applications. β¨
- Experience with cluster technologies, distributed systems, or streaming applications
- Experience working with SQL and NOSQL databases. β¨
- Experience with aggregation pipelines (Hadoop, Spar,k or similar) β¨
- Experience in planning and steering projects from end to end
- Experience with Scrum and Kanban
- Working knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, rollout plansβ¨
- Experience on application monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir, DataDog, Kibana etc. β¨
- BS in Computer Science or related degree β¨
- An excellent communicator with fluent spoken and written English skills.
- Proactive team player with a desire to impact our engineering team, our product and our customers.
