So, what’s the role all about?
Specialist DevOps (Security Advantage)
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Actimize Cloud organization. In this role, you will design, automate, secure, and operate cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS. You will work hands‑on with Kubernetes (EKS), CI/CD pipelines, IaC frameworks, and observability platforms, while partnering closely with R&D, CloudOps, AppOps, and Security teams.
Security experience is a strong advantage, as you will contribute to secure-by-default practices across our delivery pipelines and cloud environments
How will you make an impact?
• Design, operate, and continuously improve cloud infrastructure using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and GitOps workflows (Argo CD).
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform / OpenTofu.
• Contribute to system hardening, secure configurations, and cloud security controls.
• Integrate and maintain cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Partner with R&D and CloudOps teams to support deployment, scaling, and reliability needs.
• Troubleshoot production and pre-production environments and drive RCA/fixes.
• Participate in cost-optimization efforts, cloud hygiene, and automation improvements.
• Support onboarding of new regions, services, and infrastructure components.
What You Bring (Must–Have Qualifications)
• 3–6 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (IAM, EC2, EKS, VPC, ALB/NLB, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Solid experience with Kubernetes (EKS)—deployment, scaling, networking, upgrades, troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with Terraform / OpenTofu and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Familiarity with GitOps and tools like Argo CD.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go).
• Experience operating CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Good understanding of cloud networking: routing, firewalls, DNS, load balancing.
• Experience with monitoring and logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Fluentd, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, etc.
• Strong debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
Security Advantage (Preferred Skills)
• Experience with cloud security frameworks (CNAPP, CSPM, CIEM, CWPP).
• Knowledge of container/image scanning and supply chain security.
• Exposure to AWS security tools (GuardDuty, Inspector, KMS, WAF/NFW).
• Experience integrating scanners into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with SIEM, threat detection, and incident response workflows.
Have you got what it takes?
• You excel in fast-paced, cloud-native environments.
• You think automation-first and minimize manual work.
• You enjoy working closely with Engineering, Ops, and Security teams.
• You are proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn.
