About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Specialist Software Engineer to join NiCE, a global leader in AI, cloud, and digital solutions. This role involves working with senior engineers to design, implement, and support software products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- βWork with senior software engineers, architects, and managers in the design process for software products and services
- βCommunicate software designs to other software engineering staff members through code and documentation
- βLead the end-to-end implementation and support of software components
- βEnsure design and quality levels are met through regular code reviews and testing
- βMentor and coach peer and junior engineers
- βContribute high volumes of quality code for regular releases and deployments
- βLead a scrum team of developers and QA engineers to deliver as per roadmap commitments
Requirements
- β8+ years of experience in software development
- βBachelorβs or masterβs degree in computer science or a related field
- βProven experience in Java programming with a deep understanding of data structures, threading, OOP, design patterns, functional programming, and memory optimization
- βStrong expertise in developing web applications and web services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
- βExtensive hands-on experience with microservice architecture and RESTful API development
- βStrong experience in SQL
- βSolid understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly with AWS
- βExcellent communication and collaboration abilities
- βFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- βComfortable working in an Agile environment using tools like JIRA
- βStrong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset
- βProficiency in version control systems like Git and TFS
