About the Role
We are looking for a DBA Director to join NielsenIQ, a global measurement and data analytics company. This role involves co-leading global DBA teams and partnering across business units to assist with functional design, validation, and deployment of database solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Assist with management of teams supporting NIQ’s data services and platforms
- →Participate in continuous improvement and promote team evolution
- →Partner with VP of Enterprise Tools and Middleware to create better automation and stability
- →Collaborate on budgetary goals in payrolls and licensing
- →Facilitate escalation points for high-severity tickets
- →Create and ensure 24/7 on-call rotations
- →Collaborate with operational stakeholders on requirements and priorities
- →Provide strategic thought leadership and technical guidance
- →Build relationships with business stakeholders to understand needs
Requirements
- ✓Deep technical knowledge of database technologies and processes
- ✓Experience with Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Snowflake, and Databricks
- ✓Leadership experience in managing technology professionals
- ✓Ability to partner across business units and IT organization pillars
- ✓Strong understanding of database solutions and technologies
- ✓Experience with budget management and goal setting
- ✓Ability to facilitate and create escalation points for high-severity issues
- ✓Experience with on-call rotations and team management
- ✓Strategic thought leadership and technical guidance capabilities
- ✓Relationship-building skills with business stakeholders
