About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on building reliable, secure, and scalable data pipelines using Python, Snowflake, and cloud-native services.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop, schedule, and monitor ELT/ETL pipelines in Python to ingest data from APIs, files, and databases into Snowflake.
- →Implement transformations (SQL & Python) following modular, reusable patterns.
- →Build tables, views, stages, and secure data shares in Snowflake.
- →Tune queries and warehouse configs; manage roles, RBAC, and resource usage.
- →Use cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure) for storage, compute, and event triggers.
- →Orchestrate jobs (Airflow/Cloud Composer/Prefect/Azure Data Factory) with proper alerting & SLAs.
- →Apply CI/CD for data code (linting, unit/data tests, IaC review gates).
- →Embed security scanning (dependencies, IaC policies), secrets management, and least‑privilege IAM.
- →Contribute to observability (logging, metrics, lineage, data quality checks).
- →Work with Analytics/ML teams to productize models and enable self‑service.
- →Write clear documentation (readme, runbooks, data dictionaries).
Requirements
- ✓Experience with Python and SQL.
- ✓Knowledge of Snowflake and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- ✓Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development.
- ✓Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevSecOps principles.
- ✓Ability to work with orchestration tools like Airflow or similar.
- ✓Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
