About the Role
Notion is seeking a talented Security Engineer to help improve and optimize our security monitoring program. This role requires a mixture of technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to function comfortably in various cybersecurity disciplines. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivator who stays on top of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, providing a continuous proactive monitoring approach.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and implement advanced detections and automate security workflows

Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in security detection, response, or related fields
- ✓Strong ability to write, tune, and optimize detections across various platforms
- ✓Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Go, or similar)
- ✓Experience with detection rule development (Sigma, YARA, Splunk SPL, KQL)
- ✓Deep expertise in the incident response lifecycle
- ✓Experience securing cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- ✓Practical knowledge of detecting malicious activity in application and infrastructure architectures
- ✓Pragmatic and business-oriented approach to security efforts
- ✓Empathetic communication skills for articulating complex security issues
- ✓Team player with a focus on mentorship and continuous improvement
