About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager, Architecture to lead architectural scope and delivery across multiple U.S. data center projects, from early concept and due diligence through construction support and handover. This role sits within our Design & Construction team and plays a key part in helping Nscale deliver data center environments that are optimised for high-density AI infrastructure.
You will help shape repeatable architectural standards across our North American portfolio while coordinating closely with internal stakeholders and external design partners. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can balance technical judgement, programme discipline, and fast, informed decision-making in a mission-critical environment.
What Youβll Be Doing
β’ Manage architectural scope across concept, schematic, and detailed design phases for new builds and expansion projects.
β’ Own architectural deliverables, issue resolution, design clarifications, RFIs, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
β’ Coordinate programme requirements, space planning, room adjacencies, and building design priorities with internal Design, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations teams.
β’ Lead coordination with external architecture and engineering partners and ensure alignment across CSA, MEP, structural, civil, security, network/IT, and commissioning workstreams.
β’ Run design meetings, track actions, and drive timely closure of open decisions, interfaces, and delivery risks.
β’ Review drawings and specifications for completeness, constructability, maintainability, code compliance, and operational suitability.
β’ Support procurement and construction execution through submittal reviews, field issue support, and architectural scope clarifications.
β’ Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Nscaleβs architectural basis of design standards to support consistent, high-quality delivery.
β’ Support architectural due diligence for greenfield, brownfield, and colocation opportunities by assessing constraints, risks, fit, and building suitability.
β’ Maintain structured architecture and CSA risk tracking and support mitigation planning through design and execution.
About You
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
β’ 3+ years of experience managing design and delivery for mission-critical facilities, with meaningful data center architecture or CSA scope exposure.
β’ Proven experience coordinating external A/E firms and driving drawing and specification packages from concept through construction documents.
β’ Strong working knowledge of data center architectural priorities including space planning, maintainability, access, constructability, and life safety coordination.
β’ Experience working with U.S. authorities having jurisdiction and navigating state and local code requirements.
β’ Strong project management capability across schedule control, risk tracking, scope management, and stakeholder communication.
β’ Sound judgement, strong presence, and the ability to make decisions in high-consequence environments.
β’ A pragmatic, partnership-oriented leadership style suited to fast-paced delivery settings.
Nice to Have
β’ Experience supporting colocation leasing due diligence, fit-out boundaries, and landlord or operator coordination.
β’ Familiarity with BIM and clash coordination workflows across multi-discipline teams.
β’ Experience supporting site screening, massing reviews, setback analysis, access planning, and expansion feasibility.
β’ Exposure to construction-stage field support, submittal review, and design issue resolution on live data center projects.
