About the Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join the Threat product team at Obsidian Security. This role involves working across the full stack to secure SaaS applications, focusing on detecting threats and preventing breaches.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own features from concept to production across extension, backend, and pipeline code
- →Write content scripts that interact with web pages and background scripts that coordinate everything
- →Build backend services for event ingestion, enrichment, and alerting
- →Work with security researchers to turn threat intelligence into working detections
- →Contribute to team improvement through code review and design discussions
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of experience building software, ideally with exposure to multiple areas
- ✓Strong understanding of browser mechanics: DOM APIs, event loop, SPA routing, CORS
- ✓Experience building browser extensions, including content script/background script split and message passing
- ✓Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, and willingness to work with Rust
- ✓Experience with data at scale: event streaming, pipelines, high-throughput ingestion
- ✓Backend basics: APIs, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Kafka or similar
- ✓Ability to work independently without constant direction
