About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our growing team in Technology, Data, and Intelligence (TDI) at Okta. This role focuses on helping scale our business solutions with a focus on security, enabling Okta to be the most efficient, scalable, and reliable company.
Key Responsibilities
- βWork with engineering management and an assigned mentor to scope and plan engineering efforts
- βDesign and implement core, high-performance, scalable software components
- βImplement clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards
- βUtilize test-driven development practices and participate in design and code reviews
- βPartner with QA, Product Management, Technical Support, Engineering peers, Documentation, and UX teams
- βPrepare and deliver clear, concise, and impactful presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
- βB.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field and graduating December 2026 or Spring 2027
- βStrong passion for software development, testing, and solving complex problems
- βProficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language
- βStrong problem-solving and analytical skills
- βBasic understanding of JavaScript and its role in modern application development
- βKnowledge of web application frameworks, RDBMS & Application Servers
- βEffective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- βPrior internship or project experience in software development is a plus
