About the Role
We are building the foundational data infrastructure that powers one of the world's leading crypto exchanges. As a Big Data Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and evolve core platform services that enable data engineers and analysts to create reliable pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and operate large-scale distributed data systems
- →Own big data compute and storage infrastructure (MaxCompute/ODPS, Hologres, Spark)
- →Build multi-site task orchestration that dynamically selects engines and enforces policy
- →Drive reliability and performance improvements across batch and real-time pipelines
- →Develop AI-native platform layer with MCP tool interfaces
- →Build scheduling and cost-optimization agents for resource allocation
- →Instrument platform telemetry for AI-driven SLA monitoring
- →Design context retrieval pipelines for SQL code and config knowledge bases
- →Own internal data development platform with IDE integrations
- →Build APIs-first tools for backfill and ingestion automation
- →Establish SLA benchmarks, cost metrics, and latency dashboards
- →Build automated incident response and root-cause analysis pipelines
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience building large-scale data platforms
- ✓Deep expertise in distributed storage and compute systems
- ✓Strong software engineering skills in Java, Scala, or Python
- ✓Hands-on experience with task scheduling systems
- ✓Solid understanding of multi-cloud architectures
- ✓Familiarity with LLM integration patterns
- ✓Experience with MCP or similar agent-tool frameworks is a plus
- ✓Passion for building systems that make engineers more productive
