About Olly Olly
Olly Olly helps local service businesses grow through a combination of software, automation, and managed services. We are building products that simplify how small and mid-sized businesses manage their digital presence, lead flow, customer engagement, and growth operations.
We operate in a fast-moving environment where product, engineering, design, customer teams, and operational teams work closely together to deliver solutions that create measurable customer value. We are looking for a Product Manager who thrives in execution, brings structure to ambiguity, and can help turn strategy into well-defined, high-quality product delivery.
Role Overview
The Product Manager will be responsible for translating product strategy and customer needs into clear, actionable work for engineering teams. This person will own backlog quality, ensure requirements are well defined, support cross-functional alignment, and help drive products from ideation through launch and iteration.
This is a highly collaborative role for someone who is strong in execution, detail orientation, and stakeholder management. The right candidate knows how to balance speed with rigor, can work effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and is energized by improving processes while shipping meaningful product outcomes.
What Youβll Do
Backlog Ownership and Delivery
- Own and maintain a healthy, prioritized product backlog aligned to company priorities
- Break down initiatives into epics, stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation-ready requirements
- Partner closely with engineering to ensure work is clearly scoped, refined, and sequenced
- Ensure the team is working on the highest-impact opportunities with minimal ambiguity
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery follow-through
Product Development Execution
- Translate product direction into actionable requirements and user stories
- Ensure work moves through a clear product development lifecycle from discovery to launch
- Identify dependencies, risks, edge cases, and operational considerations early
- Partner with design to ensure workflows and requirements are grounded in real user needs
- Help drive launch readiness, user acceptance testing, and post-launch learning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Operations, and other internal stakeholders
- Gather input from stakeholders and customers to shape requirements and priorities
- Facilitate alignment when tradeoffs are needed across scope, timing, and quality
- Act as a connective tissue between strategy and execution across teams
Quality and Process Improvement
- Raise the bar on requirement quality, acceptance criteria, and release readiness
- Help create more discipline around prioritization, backlog health, documentation, and execution
- Support consistent processes for intake, triage, refinement, and launch planning
- Identify opportunities to improve how teams collaborate and deliver product outcomes
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means:
- Engineering teams have clear, well-defined work and fewer blockers caused by ambiguity
- Backlogs are healthy, prioritized, and aligned to business goals
- Stakeholders are informed, aligned, and engaged at the right points in the process
- Releases are better planned, better tested, and more predictable
- Product initiatives move faster with improved quality and less rework
- Customers receive solutions that are practical, valuable, and measurable
Qualifications Required
- 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar product delivery role
- Experience working closely with software engineering teams in agile environments
- Strong ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional requirements
- Demonstrated skill in backlog management, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination
- Strong communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and bring structure to fast-moving environments
- Comfortable balancing strategic context with hands-on execution
Preferred
- Experience in SaaS, vertical software, SMB technology, marketplaces, or workflow tools
- Experience supporting products that blend software and operational/service components
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and analytics platforms
- Experience working on customer-facing workflows such as lead management, communications, onboarding, or growth operations
- Exposure to AI-enabled products, automation, or internal operational tooling
- Deep customer empathy paired with strong product and design instincts.
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI, demonstrated through hands-on experimentation, building, prototyping, or independent projects, along with an active effort to stay current on emerging tools and research.
- Strong grasp of foundational LLM concepts and systems, including prompting, fine-tuning, embeddings, retrieval, and evaluation, with the product judgment to turn them into dependable user experiences.
- Proficiency with modern prototyping and builder tools such as Cursor, Bolt, and Claude Code, along with ease in collaborative environments like Figma and Git.
- Strong command of data, experimentation, and decision-making, including the ability to recognize when data alone will not provide the answer.
- Ability to bridge technical and non-technical perspectives, translating complex systems into clear, compelling narratives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling ability.
Who You Are
- Highly organized and execution-oriented
- Clear thinker who can simplify complexity
