About the Role
We are looking for a Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our team at OmniOn Power. This role involves working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, providing technical expertise to Hyperscalers and supporting customers in identifying new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Utilize knowledge of the OEM power supply marketplace to provide technical expertise to Hyperscalers
- →Support assigned customers in a technical sales capacity and assist in identifying new opportunities
- →Coordinate activities with GAMs and provide technical guidance to establish sales strategies
- →Act as a customer advocate, communicating Voice of Customer needs to executive management
- →Present technology roadmap seminars to customers and communicate feedback to product management
- →Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, and customer base
- →Create new product technical requirements and work closely with R&D to guide product development
- →Analyze competitor products and be aware of the competitive landscape
- →Help develop the product and technology roadmaps
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- ✓Minimum of 4 years of experience in solving technical issues and providing high-level customer support in the power industry
- ✓Ability to travel an average of 50% of the time
- ✓Candidate must be located within the Bay Area
- ✓Minimum of 8 years of experience within the Power Electronics industry
- ✓Advanced engineering or technical degree
- ✓High proficiency in using applicable software (Microsoft Outlook and Office, Sales empowerment tools)
- ✓Experience in CRM / SFDC
- ✓Experience in an electronic manufacturing organization
- ✓Background in power supply manufacturing
- ✓Experience in power supply design, OCP, HVDC
- ✓Basic knowledge of the staged gate engineering development process
- ✓Sound power electronics knowledge, including AC / DC and DC / DC topologies
- ✓Understanding of agency requirements that apply to power conversion products
- ✓Lab skills, including familiarity with using basic lab instruments
- ✓Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
- ✓Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- ✓Effective customer presentation skills
- ✓Excellent organizational skills
- ✓In-depth knowledge of OEM product lines and markets (Data Center)
- ✓Ability to effectively manage time and budget or expense parameters
- ✓Willingness to work independently and be a self-starter
- ✓Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
