About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Recruiter to join OpenAI's Recruiting team, which plays a crucial role in identifying and hiring exceptional individuals who align with OpenAI's values and cultural ambitions. This role focuses on building out the Forward Deployed Engineering organization, driving full-cycle hiring for a team that turns research breakthroughs into real-world production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage full-cycle recruitment for the Forward Deployed Engineering team, including sourcing, managing the recruitment process, and closing candidates.
- →Work directly with business leaders to understand departmental objectives and develop proactive hiring strategies.
- →Utilize advanced sourcing strategies and tools to attract and engage top-tier candidates.
- →Ensure an outstanding candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- →Collaborate with internal teams such as HR, Legal, and Compensation to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- →Provide expert advice and support to hiring managers on best practices in interviewing, candidate evaluation, and employment branding.
Requirements
- ✓7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, particularly within in-house environments at high-growth companies.
- ✓A strong track record of hiring top 1% talent.
- ✓A high level of adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments—balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
- ✓Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across the globe.
- ✓A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to evolve processes to meet global hiring needs.
- ✓Proficiency with ATS and sourcing platforms such as Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other modern recruitment tools.
