About the Role

OpenGov is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to contribute to the continuous monitoring and operation of their Information Security program. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity of security measures across cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities

→Contribute to monitoring and operation of internal security tools and automation pipelines
→Maintain adherence to response SLAs and runbook policies
→Assist with deployment, testing, and documentation of new security tooling
→Own operational duties of critical security tools including vulnerability management platforms and SIEM
→Update and maintain custom detection rules and alerts for cloud-native services
→Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and automated health checks
→Contribute to Incident Response activities

Requirements

✓Hands-on cybersecurity experience with focus on infrastructure or cloud security
✓Operational understanding of cloud environments (AWS & Azure)
✓Experience securing cloud-native services
✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
✓Familiarity with tools such as Wiz, SentinelOne, or Palo Alto is a plus
✓Ability to break down complex security challenges into scalable solutions
