About the Role
OpenGov is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead complex, cross-cutting initiatives across their cloud ERP platform. This role focuses on unifying the experience and capabilities of diverse products while driving strategic alignment and delivering platform-level solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define and drive a unified product vision and strategy spanning multiple product domains
- →Partner with domain product managers to identify integration points and standardize best practices
- →Lead development of platform services like APIs and shared domain objects
- →Mentor PMs while owning key initiatives requiring senior leadership
- →Align stakeholders across Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success
- →Translate vision into detailed product plans and prioritized backlogs
- →Champion a data-informed culture using insights to guide decisions
- →Develop understanding of government customers' needs and advocate for solutions
- →Foster collaboration and continuous learning within the organization
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience a plus
- ✓13+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years of leading or mentoring PMs
- ✓Proven success delivering complex, cross-product initiatives at scale in a SaaS environment
- ✓Strong strategic thinking and systems-level problem solving abilities
- ✓Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Experience with platform architecture or developer ecosystems is a plus
- ✓Passion for public sector transformation and building technology for the common good
