About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join OpenGov, a leader in AI and ERP solutions for local and state governments. You'll build best-in-class SaaS solutions that enable efficiency, transparency, and accountability within government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- →Independently design and develop high-quality features that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- →Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- →Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
- →Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools and operational excellence
- →Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- →Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- →Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
- →Contribute to OpenGov’s Engineering culture of innovation, leading-edge technology adoption and quality
Requirements
- ✓BA/BS in a computer-science-related discipline or equivalent experience
- ✓6+ years of professional experience in software development.
- ✓Proficiency in C# equivalent program language.
- ✓Proficiency in TypeScript, Angular/ReactJS, and NodeJS
- ✓Proficiency in data structures, database concepts and database models including SQL and NoSQL (Preferred: Postgres)
- ✓Proficiency in observability concepts and leverage modern tools like Grafana for observability and performance monitoring
- ✓Proficiency in GraphQL APIs and Microservices architecture
- ✓Experience in building software using event-driven architecture is highly desirable
- ✓Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
- ✓Expertise in ERP domain preferred.
