About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join OpenGov, a leader in AI and ERP solutions for local and state governments. In this role, you will develop top-tier SaaS solutions that enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability in government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide leadership and technical guidance for developing resilient, scalable SaaS applications
- →Lead the single tenant to multi-tenant initiative for a key Suite
- →Prioritize and plan projects in alignment with the Product roadmap
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- →Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
- →Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
- →Mentor and guide junior software engineers
- →Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- →Contribute to OpenGov’s Engineering culture of innovation
- →Drive continuous improvement of development processes
- →Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
Requirements
- ✓BA/BS in a computer science-related field or equivalent experience
- ✓9+ years of experience in developing highly scalable cloud-native applications
- ✓Deep experience building applications on either Azure or AWS using CI/CD and DevOps best practices
- ✓Prior experience with tools like Grafana for observability and performance monitoring
- ✓Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS
- ✓Proficiency with event-driven architecture, API integration, and GraphQL
