About the Role
We are looking for a Cobol Developer to join our Software Engineering Department at Orion Innovation. This role involves developing and testing complex technical solutions that support Bank Solutions product strategies in an Agile environment.

Requirements
- ✓Associate’s degree in computer Programming or related discipline
- ✓Preferred Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline
- ✓Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in application development
- ✓Experience with iSeries, Unisys, and/or other mainframe technologies
- ✓Experience with mainframe development languages such as Cobol
- ✓Experience with C programming
- ✓Experience with source management tools including GIT
- ✓Agile and/or DevOps experience
- ✓Knowledgeable in industry standard software design patterns, development, data modelling, and SOLID principals
- ✓Knowledgeable in test driven development (TDD) and automated functional testing
- ✓Ability to resolve architectural problems including scalability, performance, reliability, usability & security
- ✓Strong leadership skills
- ✓Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team
- ✓Demonstrated ability to work on highly complex projects within tight timelines
- ✓The ability to clearly communicate complex technical specifications
- ✓Financial industry interest and experience is beneficial
