About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join Oscar Health's Data team. This role will focus on driving modeling and analytics for our claims payment system, helping Oscar become the most automated and efficient insurer in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with operations and technology leaders to improve claims system performance
- →Use sophisticated measurement and data mining techniques to drive deep insights
- →Translate business goals into plans and tactics for the team
- →Work with senior leaders to establish longer term strategies and roadmaps
- →Lead the research, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and statistical/ML models
- →Interact and collaborate with data and business management across functional areas
Requirements
- ✓6+ years of industry or quantitative technical field experience
- ✓4+ years of experience with SQL, R, and/or Python
- ✓4+ years experience building data models and using advanced analytics methods
- ✓Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
