About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join Ovoko, a fast-growing e-commerce startup in Europe. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality standards for our core service, with a strong emphasis on web applications, APIs, and database testing.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own system quality within your team and ensure high standards across all deliverables
- →Design and execute tests, reporting issues with clear, actionable steps
- →Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright for critical user flows
- →Analyze product requirements to identify potential quality risks early
- →Contribute to product innovation by suggesting new features or improvements
- →Perform tool research and evaluate new solutions to improve the QA process
- →Define and analyze quality metrics to guide testing efforts
- →Help collect and analyze user feedback to better understand product quality
- →Proactively suggest improvements to development processes and team workflows
- →Share knowledge and mentor other QA team members
Requirements
- ✓2+ years of experience in quality assurance with a focus on web applications
- ✓Strong manual testing background with expertise in web and backend testing
- ✓API testing proficiency including REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and integration testing
- ✓Database knowledge with experience in SQL and relational databases
- ✓Test case design expertise with a systematic approach to test planning
- ✓Exploratory testing skills with a keen eye for edge cases and user experience issues
- ✓Experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar)
- ✓Test automation experience in UI and API testing with modern frameworks
- ✓Agile methodology experience (Scrum, Kanban, or similar)
- ✓Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
