About Owner
Owner is the AI-native system local business owners use to succeed, starting with restaurants.
Weβre building the system that replaces the many tools owners use to run their business.
It powers everything from the restaurantβs website, online ordering, CRM, POS, and more.
Product philosophy
Most small business software makes owners do the work to get what they want: sales growth and profit growth. Owner does the work for them agentically.
Our system drives demand, converts it, and helps operators run their business day to day. As it improves, the business improves with it.
Using Owner should feel like having a team of great operators, engineers, and marketers working for you.
Our vision
Weβre starting by helping independent restaurants succeed online.
But itβs not just restaurants that need our help. Most local businesses are struggling with these same problems. Huge technology corporations are taking their customers, bleeding their profits, and making it hard for them to survive.
Once we nail the solution for restaurants β weβll scale it into every other local business type.
In the future we envision, tens of millions of local business owners will use our technology to succeed in the digital age.

Our traction
Since 2020, we've generated tens of millions in revenue and processed over a billion dollars of online orders. 1 in 5 Americans have used an Owner.com [Upgrade to PRO to see link] website.
More importantly, weβve helped over 20,000 restaurant owners, and saved them nearly $200 million in fees.
Our team
Our team is now in the low hundreds. Weβve got top talent from the most successful companies in SMB software, including: Shopify, HubSpot, DoorDash, ServiceTitan, Rappi, Faire and Stripe.
Weβll be scaling even faster in 2026 to keep pace with our customer growth.
Where we work
Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. Most of our teammates are distributed throughout the globe. Please review the role description and discuss with your recruiter for more details on location!
Why we are looking for you
Owner powers thousands of restaurants across mobile, web, POS, and guest app. We're hiring a senior full-stack engineer for our Quick Service POS team β someone who ships product end-to-end and also raises the bar on our shared UI library. You'll collaborate with engineers across the organization on @owner/ui, ship real product in a high-execution phase, and have outsized impact on how every surface at Owner gets built.
This role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
The impact you will have
- Be one of the primary contributors to @owner/ui, our shared component library used across mobile, web, POS, guest app, and white-label apps, helping make the "right way" the easiest way for product teams across Owner.
- Drive the cross-platform UI strategy on the Point of Sale (Quick Service) team, building components once that work everywhere using React Native + React Native Web
- Work alongside engineers across the organization to shape component patterns, design primitives, and standards in @owner/ui that scale across teams.
- Lead active build-out of UI features and components for the Quick Service POS β this is a high-execution, high-impact phase of the product
- Reduce UX drift and maintenance overhead by establishing shared patterns that make onboarding faster and feature development more consistent
What we're looking for
- Deep experience in UI systems and design systems β you've built or maintained shared component libraries used at scale
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Full-stack engineering ability β comfortable shipping features across frontend and backend
- Experience with React Native and/or React Native Web (cross-platform UI is a core part of this work)
- Background in frontend modernization, web platform, or UX/UI engineering β titles like UI Engineer, UX Engineer, Frontend Platform, or Web Platform resonate with you
- A bias toward building: this team is in a high-execution phase and we need someone who ships
- Ability to work collaboratively across product, design, and engineering to drive alignment on patterns and standards
Pay and benefits
- The estimated starting base salary range for this role is $210K-230K depending on level, location and experience, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package
- Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage, work from anywhere (remote-first workplace), unlimited PTO - plus extra fun perks!
