About the Role
We are looking for a Product Design and Frontend Engineer to join P-1 AI, a company building an engineering AGI. In this role, you will be the lead architect of the interaction between our engineering customers and our agentic AI, Archie. You will define the logic, branches, and conversational flows that allow an AI to assist in complex physical engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- βDefine the logic by mapping out workflows, common paths, and edge-case branches.
- βDesign for conversation by shaping how Archie communicates and ensuring the AIβs feedback is clear, actionable, and technically accurate.
- βBridge design and engineering by working within a real technical pipeline and collaborating on testing, QA, and staging processes.
- βBuild the signal by leading UX research and instrumentation and conducting live customer feedback sessions.
- βChampion the hardware persona by immersing yourself in the world of mechanical engineering and solving high-friction problems for a specialized user base.
Requirements
- β4β7+ years of experience shipping designs in complex, high-stakes domains.
- βA "Systems First" mindset, prioritizing how things work over how they look.
- βFrontend development skills to ship what you design as part of a small and focused frontend development team.
- βConfident autonomy, comfortable being the "Product Owner" of design and writing specs based on functional needs.
- βAnalytical rigor, with experience using front-end analytics and session replay tools to justify design recommendations.
