About the Role
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join PagerDuty, a global leader in digital operations management. You'll help design and build the next generation of features for our core system, focusing on post-incident learning and AI-driven workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to build features and solve customer problems
- →Build and ship new customer-facing features, collaborating with product managers, customer support, and engineers
- →Collaborate with product, UX, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality experiences
- →Provide code reviews for team members
- →Own and maintain production systems, including on-call rotation for production issues
- →Participate in agile development with iterative processes and fast feedback
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of development experience with customer-facing SaaS applications and web-based systems
- ✓Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, or Ruby)
- ✓Experience with modern AI-assisted coding environments
- ✓Experience with tools for automated deployment to staging and production
- ✓Solid understanding of web or service development basics (APIs, HTTP, JSON, REST)
- ✓Familiarity with version control and collaborative workflows (Git, pull requests, code reviews)
- ✓Clear communication and collaborative attitude
- ✓Test-first mindset with ability to write unit/integration tests
