About the Role
PAR Technology Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Senior Software Engineer to join their Brink Point-of-Sale (POS) software development team. This role involves designing and implementing test strategies for POS software, coordinating test cases, and ensuring quality control standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead all aspects of the team’s testing
- →Design test reporting and metrics appropriate to project needs
- →Assess solution risk and assist in prioritizing test efforts
- →Select and configure appropriate toolsets for testing
- →Develop detailed testing approaches and plans
- →Produce status reports and quality metrics
- →Facilitate defect triage and manage defect resolution process
- →Conduct test case reviews and ensure requirements traceability
- →Perform root cause analysis of identified defects
- →Design test strategies and test cases for complex systems
- →Conduct various types of testing on multiple platforms
- →Provide technical mentoring to junior team members
- →Assist teams in determining quality goals and acceptance criteria
- →Champion Agile best testing practices
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
- ✓Minimum of 5 years of experience in the software industry
- ✓Strong functional testing background, including test strategy, planning, case design, and execution
- ✓Ability to manage multiple projects with changing requirements
- ✓Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work both in a team and independently
- ✓Experience with Agile methodology (e.g., Scrum)
