About the Role
We are looking for a Senior PHY System Engineer to design, implement, and integrate advanced cellular communication systems for next-generation base-station products. This role involves leading PHY activities from feature development to integration and providing technical leadership within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- →Serve as focal point for all PHY, Beamforming and RF-related aspects
- →Define and write system-level requirements
- →Continuously optimize and fine-tune PHY layer algorithms to enhance performance and efficiency
- →Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the PHY team
- →Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PHY components
- →Conduct hands-on lab work
Requirements
- ✓At least 5 years of experience in wireless communication/PHY layer development or integration
- ✓Good understanding of RX and TX PHY and RF chains
- ✓Deep understanding of wireless communication systems
- ✓Working experience with RF lab test equipment
- ✓Solid experience with scripting languages such as MATLAB or Python
- ✓Good system-level understanding within a multi-disciplinary environment
- ✓Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English, both written and verbal
- ✓B.Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering
- ✓Nice to Have
- ✓Involvement in research and development projects related to emerging wireless technologies
- ✓Solid knowledge in the physical layer specifications of 4G/5G
