About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer specialising in React with 5+ years of professional experience. You will take ownership of designing and delivering scalable, maintainable, and performant front-end applications for ParcelHero's innovative shipping platform.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and deliver scalable front-end applications
- →Set best practices and mentor junior engineers
- →Work closely with design, product, and back-end teams to deliver seamless experiences
- →Influence architectural decisions and tooling choices
Requirements
- ✓Expert in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- ✓Deep expertise with React (hooks, context, state management, component architecture, performance optimisation)
- ✓Strong knowledge of CSS and responsive design principles
- ✓Proficient in accessibility (WCAG standards) and cross-browser compatibility
- ✓Testing experience: unit, integration, and end-to-end
- ✓8+ years of professional front-end development experience, with at least 5 years focused on React in large-scale applications
- ✓Track record of building and deploying production-grade React applications
- ✓Experience mentoring developers and contributing to engineering culture
- ✓Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience)
