About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join Pelmorex's Engineering Insights team. You will play a foundational role in architecting and building data systems and analytics capabilities that power multiple B2B products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Architect for Scale: Define blueprints for high-scale systems where quality and latency are primary constraints
- →Build the Backbone: Engineer robust pipelines using Ray, Snowpark, and Apache Beam
- →Master Workflow Orchestration: Design and operate sophisticated workflows using Apache Airflow, Snowflake Tasks, and Google Workflows
- →Power Data Access: Design and build scalable backend APIs and services in Node.js and Python
- →Optimize Global-Scale Storage: Design high-performance storage solutions across BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, and GCS
- →Own Production Systems: Build CI/CD pipelines, implement observability, and ensure data integrity
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering and Backend Engineering
- ✓Deep understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, data modeling, and partitioning strategies
- ✓Experience designing RESTful APIs and optimizing queries across relational and NoSQL databases
- ✓Proven ability to deploy and manage production workloads in the cloud (GCP)
- ✓Strong commitment to code and data quality, testing, CI/CD, and documentation
