About Pendo
Pendo is on a mission to elevate the world's experience with software. We help product teams deliver software that users love, and we're growing fast to meet the demands of that mission. Our recruiting team plays a central role in that growth, finding and bringing in the people who make Pendo, Pendo.
Team description
We're the Revenue & Marketing Recruiting team, a collaborative, globally distributed team covering the US, EMEA, and APAC. We own the full GTM talent pipeline: BDRs, sellers, revenue operations, marketing, and everything in between.
We're builders at heart. We don't wait for the perfect process; we create it, iterate on it, and make it better as we go. We move fast, hold each other up, and genuinely enjoy the hunt for that purple squirrel. If you love the challenge of complex, high-stakes searches across diverse markets and want to do it alongside a team that's as invested in your success, we are your team.
The role
As a recruiter at Pendo, you will own full-cycle recruiting across a defined set of roles and teams. You'll partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders to source, assess, and close top talent, operating with a high degree of autonomy and shaping how we hire at scale.
You are a leading performer who manages independently, anticipates roadblocks, and drives quality hiring outcomes across complex, multi-stakeholder searches.
Like every role at Pendo right now, this one calls for a builder mindset; someone who acts with urgency, takes ownership without being asked, and lifts the people around them. You will also have a working comfort with AI: not expertise, but genuine curiosity and active experimentation with tools that make you faster and sharper.
Role responsibilities
Needs assessment & partnership
β’ Collaborate with Pendo stakeholders to understand requirements for assigned positions and define the key qualifications, skills, and success criteria for each role
β’ Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and interview teams, guiding decisions, shaping criteria, and maintaining relationships that are nearly autonomous
Sourcing & pipeline
β’ Utilize job boards, social media, industry networks, and targeted outreach to source high-quality candidates
β’ Drive your own forecast and make data-informed decisions about pipeline health and hiring pace
Screening & assessment
β’ Conduct initial screens to assess candidate fit across skills, values, and role-specific criteria
β’ Present a shortlist of qualified candidates with detailed profiles; collect and consolidate feedback from hiring teams
Interview process & offer
β’ Coordinate and schedule interviews; support the development of interview questions and evaluation rubrics
β’ Lead offer negotiation with selected candidates and collaborate with HR/People Ops to ensure a smooth onboarding transition
Minimum qualifications
β’ Full-cycle recruiting experience in a high-growth SaaS environment
β’ You have experience recruiting SaaS sellers
β’ Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder searches across multiple requisitions simultaneously
β’ Strong sourcing skills, you don't wait for inbound; you build a pipeline proactively
β’ Clear, confident communicator who builds trust quickly with hiring managers, candidates, and cross-functional partners
β’ Comfort working with data to assess funnel health, report on progress, and make informed decisions
β’ Builder mindset: you act with urgency, take ownership of your work end-to-end, and look for ways to make your team better
β’ Working AI fluency: you actively use AI tools in your day-to-day and bring genuine curiosity about how they can make you more effective
β’ Will not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future
Preferred qualifications
β’ Experience partnering with VP-level+ stakeholders with a high degree of autonomy
β’ Familiarity with recruiting for the roles you'll be assigned (e.g., software engineers, AEs, CSMs)
β’ Prior experience in a high-volume, fast-paced recruiting environment
β’ Experience with Greenhouse or a comparable ATS
β’ Comfortable using AI tools throughout a recruiting workflow, whether that's intake and market research, sourcing, candidate outreach, or offer prep; curiosity and experimentation matter more than expertise
Who you are
Beyond the qualifications, we hire through a specific lens. These aren't buzzwords; they're the things we'll actually look for in how you talk about your work.
You're a builder, not a maintainer.
Youβre most energized when there isnβt a clear path yet, and you get to define it. You donβt wait for direction; you identify gaps, shape solutions, and drive them forward. At Pendo, great recruiters donβt just follow instructions; they operate as strategic advisors, influencing hiring decisions, guiding stakeholders, and elevating how we attract talent.
You're AI-curious - genuinely.
You're not using AI tools occasionally. You're rewiring how you work around them. You're faster, sharper, and more prolific because of it, and you bring that energy to everything; how you source, how you prep for intakes, how you draft outreach, how you think. We want someone who sees AI as a multiplier, not a shortcut.
