About the Role
Pinecone is seeking a Technical Lead to own the billing, metering, and revenue pipelines for their revenue systems. This high-ownership role requires setting the architectural direction and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- →Set the technical direction for revenue infrastructure, including architecture and engineering standards
- →Build and scale event-driven pipelines for usage data with a focus on accuracy and reliability
- →Own integrations with external financial systems and vendor APIs
- →Create observable, auditable systems with monitoring and verification mechanisms
- →Bring AI-assisted development practices to the team
- →Partner with finance, product, and design to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Requirements
- ✓At least 5 years of backend or full-stack engineering experience
- ✓Expertise in event-driven system design and distributed systems
- ✓Track record of building reliable data pipelines for usage tracking or financial reconciliation
- ✓Experience with queueing and streaming technologies
- ✓Strong intuition for RESTful API design
- ✓Experience integrating with third-party financial APIs
- ✓Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- ✓Bias toward automation and leverage
