What You Will Do - Design, develop, and maintain scalable business-facing APIs to support Plaud Teams, Enterprise, and D2C initiatives. - Build modular, service-oriented backend components with clear domain boundaries and production ownership. - Work closely with Product and Engineering to design and implement secure, scalable backend services that meet evolving business needs. - Define clear API contracts, participate in architecture and security design reviews, and uphold high standards in code quality and system reliability. - Ensure system reliability, performance, and security, leveraging AI coding tools to improve development efficiency and code quality. - Proactively identify and address security risks in APIs, data flows, and infrastructure integrations. Minimum Qualifications - 3–5 years of experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and service-oriented systems. - Experience with scalable architecture and modular system design - Strong production ownership mindset (performance, reliability, security) - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in a cross-geo engineering environment - Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate with high ownership.
