About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager who's both a technical leader and a product builder at Finom, a fast-growing European fintech startup. You'll guide a cross-functional team in delivering products that create real value for hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- →Guide a cross-functional team (5-10 engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and QA) in delivering products
- →Challenge problem framing with your PM partner and ensure the team solves the right problems
- →Balance feature delivery with technical debt, keeping scalability in mind
- →Run meaningful 1:1s, create growth plans, and own hiring and promotions
- →Drive predictable delivery by partnering tightly with Product and Design
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of software development building data-intensive production systems
- ✓Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering teams
- ✓Deep technical knowledge: hands-on experience with at least one of the common general-purpose languages and platforms
- ✓Experience in product-led organizations, ideally with international scope
- ✓Strong business acumen – you connect engineering work to revenue, retention, and trust
- ✓Comfortable with product metrics (DAU/MAU, retention, conversion funnels)
- ✓Exceptional communication in English across all audiences
- ✓A builder's mentality: you care about shipping great products and growing great teams
