About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Applied Scientist/Researcher in Natural Language Processing to join our Advanced Technology team. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge AI/ML solutions for healthcare challenges, working with large-scale data to create transformative models and systems that enhance patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- →Apply NLP, GenAI, and other AI/ML techniques to develop model systems and solutions for healthcare
- →Collaborate with product leaders, clinical informaticists, data scientists, UI/UX researchers, and engineering teams
- →Design, build, and evaluate solutions using structured or unstructured data for healthcare use cases
- →Perform research and experimentation to select appropriate approaches, algorithms, and frameworks
- →Oversee data collection, cleaning, analysis, algorithm selection, training, and evaluation of AI systems
- →Provide mentorship on advanced AI, NLP, data science, and machine learning methods
- →Work independently and collaboratively to solve complex NLP and AI modeling challenges
Requirements
- ✓PhD or comparable experience in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or related field
- ✓4-10+ years industry experience building solutions in commercial SaaS, with 4+ years in healthcare NLP/AI/ML applications
- ✓Expert-level experience in Natural Language Processing, including fine-tuning LLMs and Transformer models
- ✓Experience building and deploying AI/ML/NLP models for large-scale SaaS products
- ✓Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, and modern data analysis stacks (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, etc.)
- ✓Experience with big data processing frameworks like Azure Data Lake or Apache Spark
- ✓Extensive experience using public cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) for ML deployment
- ✓Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working on distributed teams
