The Director, OCFO Strategic Finance & Analytics combines strategic vision, technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver exceptional results for middle-market clients across diverse industries. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial and experienced finance leader with a proven track record in advising C-suite executives, optimizing financial processes and implementing tools to enable faster and more impactful data-driven decisions. The Director, OCFO Strategic Finance & Analytics, should be prepared to work within a small, collaborative team environment to manage discrete workstreams.
Responsibilities
β’ Support end-to-end client engagements, including oversight of local teams to deliver strategic finance and analytics solutions that create measurable value
β’ Develop and deploy scalable processes, methodologies and analytical solutions which result in step-function improvements to middle market OCFO functions
β’ Advise C-suite executives, private equity sponsors and lenders on key financial initiatives, including the buildout of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), liquidity forecasting and management, scenario planning and transaction preparation processes and tools
β’ Oversee the design and implementation of driver-based models and tools that enable better decision making and alignment with client objectives and work cross-functionally to productize and automate solutions
β’ Drive design and / or enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement technology-driven performance visibility solutions by integrating diverse datasets to generate insight using tools like Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, Snowflake, SQL and Python
β’ Support multiple concurrent engagements to provide technical accounting and financial or business advisory guidance to clients (sponsors, lenders and management teams)
β’ Advise clients through complex transactional and operational situations, including mergers, acquisitions and carveouts, operating model transformations, selling / buying the business, technology implementations, etc.
β’ Mentor junior finance and analytics professionals
β’ Support business development efforts while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
β’ Share and manage best practices as well as lead internal trainings where required
β’ Support talent acquisition and firm-building initiatives
β’ Contribute to a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven culture
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field from a top undergraduate program; advanced degree or CFA, CPA or CA preferred
β’ Experience working with private equity clients or on US / global transactions is preferred
β’ Willing to relocate to or be primarily present in Gurgaon
β’ 10 plus years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, IB or management consulting, with a focus on middle-market companies
β’ Expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning and advanced analytics
β’ Strong understanding of private equity environments and value creation strategies
β’ Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on business development and client relationship management
β’ Bias towards and track record of leveraging technology and automation solutions (Power BI / Tableau, Power Automate, UI Path, Automation Anywhere) to drive business process efficiency
β’ Proficiency in financial technologies and tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Oracle PBCS, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
β’ Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skills
β’ Proven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teams
β’ High attention to detail, responsiveness and ownership mindset
β’ Track record of success in high-pressure, client-facing environments
