About the Role
Planned Parenthood Federation of America seeks an Associate Director of Trusts & Estates to advance the capacity of the estates-in-probate program. This role focuses on developing and implementing strategies for a diverse portfolio of estates and trusts to increase realized bequests and ensure donor intent is fulfilled. The position reports to the Senior Director of Gifts & Systems for Gift Planning in the Development Division.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and implement strategies for estates in-probate and irrevocable trusts in an assigned region
- →Build relationships with trustees, executors, and attorneys to ensure realization of estate plans
- →Represent Planned Parenthood to family members of decedents, expressing condolences and explaining gift policies
- →Execute estate administration by working with trustees, executors, attorneys, and family members
- →Review estate documentation to identify concerning circumstances and potential litigation
- →Evaluate financial documentation to ensure alignment with will and trust language
- →Provide training to national and affiliate staff on estate administration matters
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor of Administration or Bachelor of Science degree required
- ✓Minimum six years of related work experience with charitable bequest administration and/or trusts and estates
- ✓Knowledge of and continued interest in the gift planning field
- ✓Extremely organized, process-oriented self-starter who works well in fast-paced environments
- ✓Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities
- ✓High proficiency in Google, Microsoft, and Adobe products
- ✓Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

- ✓Willing to provide coverage during end-of-fiscal-year and holiday periods
- ✓This is a hybrid position based in New York City with reliable home WiFi required
