Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates, which operate non-profit health centers across the U.S. PPFA also works to educate the public on and advocate for issues of sexual and reproductive health. Formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Planned Parenthood Action Fund is a separate non-profit membership organization tax-exempt under section 501(c)(4). This job reports to the Senior Director of Product Management and Design in the External Affairs division of PPFA. ThePlanned Parenthood Digital Strategy department provides reliable and scalable applications and technology programs and services in support of health care delivery, sex education, advocacy, fundraising, and internal operations, critical to achieving the organizationβs mission. Digital Strategy is part of the External Affairs division at PPFA.
Purpose:
β’ Innovate and execute product initiatives for our flagship website ecosystem, PlannedParenthood.org and PlannedParenthoodAction.org.
β’ Define product roadmaps, participate in agile sprints and team communications, partner with the team on other products and tasks as needed, given the changing priorities of the organizationβs initiatives.
β’ Work within an agile team of designers, researchers and developers and will collaborate with key communications, marketing and content leads to build exceptional user experiences.
β’ Create innovative, engaging and delightful digital experiences within our portfolio of productsand effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to nurture, validate, and execute the most impactful ideas within an agile team.
Delivery:
β’ Iterate and create new user experiences and features that increase the engagement of our diverse audiences: information seekers, patients, and supporters alike.
β’ Clear, strategic thought leadership around consumer-facing digital products at Planned Parenthood. Driving consensus around the vision and the roadmap across team members and stakeholders.
β’ Leveraging a user-centered approach that identifies opportunities based on user interviews, research, data, and market trends.
β’ Co-creation of goals for Planned Parenthoodβs flagship national websites and regular and ongoing data analysis to inform product evolution. Developing clear metrics of success that support effective decision making.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication. The Product Manager will communicate broadly about the performance and functionality of our websites to relevant stakeholders and audiences, including executive leadership and Planned Parenthood affiliates.
β’ Establishing agile practices by collaborating seamlessly with facilitators, design, engineering, education and marketing colleagues. Driving product discovery and development processes collaboratively.
β’ Performs other duties as assigned.

β’ Collaborate with key stakeholders in the Planned Parenthood national office and across regional affiliates to build exceptional user experiences.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
β’ Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or any related field is preferred.
β’ Minimum of 3 years experience in building consumer facing digital products as a product manager or product owner, is required.
β’ Minimum of 3 years experience working closely and collaboratively with UX designers, visual designers, developers, content creators, and other contributors across multiple internal groups, is required.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, matched with the ability to tell a story with the data preferred.
β’ Minimum of 2 years experience overseeing a product roadmap strategy and documenting product requirements/user stories, is required.
β’ Ability to demonstrate achievements defining, bringing to market, and scaling top-notch digital products.
β’ Iterating on a mature product that is pushing to become a more equitable experience.
β’ Minimum of 3 years experience working in an agile, iterative product development process is required.
β’ Experience with JIRA, Asana, or other ticket and collaboration tools.
β’ Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a highly-matrixed environment.
β’ Ability to communicate and coordinate work effectively with stakeholders and colleagues who hold various priorities.
β’ Experience working with content management systems is a plus.
β’ We serve a diverse audience, so bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
β’ Experience working in technical product management, particularly in defining complex acceptance criteria for data-heavy applications, is a plus.
