About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Designer to join Primark’s team. This role focuses on supporting the Designer with trend research and analysis, and contributing to product range development.
Key Responsibilities
- →Support the Designer with trend research and analysis, translating emerging trends into commercially viable ideas for Primark’s ranges.
- →Assist in building and executing product ranges by contributing to design decisions that balance creativity, commerciality, and brand identity.
- →Collaborate closely with Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure design vision, timelines, and critical path requirements are met.
- →Prepare and maintain trend, colour, and design files for presentations, meetings, and supplier communication, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- →Track and manage design and trend amendments, communicating updates effectively across relevant teams to support smooth range development.
- →Develop strong commercial awareness by reviewing range performance, understanding cost implications, and using insight to inform future design decisions.
- →Key Interactions and Engagements as part of this role:
- →As Assistant Designer you will report directly to a Designer. You will work closely with Primark’s Buying and Merchandising teams, as well as collaborating with Design teams across all product categories to ensure alignment and a unified Design vision across our brand. You will also be expected to represent your product categories on working groups and forums across departmentally.
