About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with a frontend focus to join Promise, a company that modernizes how government agencies and utilities support people in financial difficulty. This hands-on role involves designing and building intuitive web applications that connect individuals facing financial hardship with essential public services.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and deliver scalable, reusable frontend systems and components that power critical financial workflows
- →Collaborate with product and design to create intuitive, accessible, and high-performing web applications
- →Partner with backend engineers to define and evolve APIs and ensure data flows cleanly from distributed systems to user interfaces
- →Help shape our frontend architecture, state management patterns, and shared component libraries
- →Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code and identify performance issues
- →Mentor engineers and contribute to thoughtful code reviews
Requirements
- ✓3+ years building production-grade software with significant experience in modern frontend development
- ✓Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript
- ✓Experience building complex user flows and integrating APIs at scale
- ✓Comfortable working across the stack, including backend services
- ✓Ability to translate complex distributed systems into simple, reliable user experiences
