About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager for Privacy, Rights & Trust to join Protege. This role focuses on making real-world data safe, compliant, and trustworthy for AI training while preserving its usefulness. You will define systems, workflows, and guarantees that allow customers, partners, and internal teams to confidently use data across various modalities and regulatory regimes.
Key Responsibilities
- βDefine Protegeβs privacy protection strategy across modalities (text, audio, video, multimodal)
- βDevelop scalable de-identification workflows that preserve longitudinal or contextual signal
- βManage rights, permissions, and usage constraints in the platform
- βBuild validation mechanisms for partner-performed de-identification and rights claims
- βShape product abstractions for regulated environments like HIPAA and GDPR
- βIdentify and reduce trust/risk surfaces in the data process
- βDefine product signals and guardrails that make risk visible and manageable
- βAct as the primary product owner for the Privacy, Rights & Trust value stream
- βPartner with adjacent PMs to ensure trust is embedded from ingestion through delivery
- βTurn repeated privacy edge cases into reusable platform capabilities
Requirements
- βProduct management experience in privacy, compliance, data platforms, or trust & safety
- βComfortable operating in ambiguity with legal, technical, and ethical constraints
- βStrong systems thinking to translate policy constraints into product primitives
- βAbility to make, communicate, and defend tradeoffs between risk, usability, cost, and scale
- βEffective cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Security, Data Science, Partner Ops, and GTM stakeholders
