ABOUT THE TEAM The Infrastructure Team builds and maintains the core foundation that powers all Protex systems, ensuring scalable data infrastructure, robust edge-to-cloud connectivity, and high-performance backend services. We support edge deployments for real-time computer vision applications and deliver resilient systems to enable proactive workplace safety at global scale. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead infrastructure efforts across cloud and edge environments. You’ll architect and implement CI/CD pipelines, design scalable observability systems, and drive system reliability across globally distributed environments. You'll help shape a seamless developer experience, maintain environment parity (Dev, Stage, Prod), and ensure secure, high-quality data across all regions. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to support well-architected, cost-effective, and secure infrastructure. This includes proactive cost management, cloud security enforcement, and compliance with regional standards like GDPR. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - 8+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE roles. Including 2+ years in a technical management role. - Solid knowledge of AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch) - Hands-on experience with Terraform - Proven experience in SRE with a focus on uptime, reliability, and system health - Expertise in monitoring, observability, and reliability best practices - Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline design and automation (cloud and edge) - Experience with real-time, distributed, or IoT infrastructure - Experience with Unix-based operating systems - Experience or interest in Edge device management - Experience managing split environments (Dev, Staging, Prod) with consistent, production-quality data - Ability to deploy infrastructure across regions while maintaining GDPR and other compliance standards - Strong focus on developer experience and supporting cross-functional teams - Strong understanding of cloud security best practices (secrets management, threat prevention, vulnerability mitigation) - Ability to influence technical direction, mentor others, and drive execution - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field NICE TO HAVE - Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development for edge deployments - Experience implementing best practices to improve DORA metrics - Bonus if you've helped a team adopt AI-first workflows, we know this is new territory and we're figuring it out too.
