This is a hybrid role being onsite at HQ in Maple Plain, MN on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The Enterprise Program Manager is a catalyst for company-wide impact—driving high‑visibility, cross‑functional programs that shape the future of the organization. In this strategic role, you’ll architect and lead complex initiatives that connect business goals with technology innovation, operational excellence, and scalable processes across teams including technology, operations, manufacturing, finance, and go‑to‑market.

What You'll Do
• Define program scope, goals, success metrics, and deliverables that support business objectives
• Partner with senior leadership to align enterprise programs with organizational strategy and priorities
• Develop and maintain enterprise program roadmaps, business cases, and execution plans
• Manage multiple programs and initiatives in parallel, ensuring teams focus on the correct priorities and deliverables. Hold task owners accountable to progress and delivery to ensure efficient and successful execution
• Establish governance structures and reporting mechanisms for program performance and risk management
• Drive adherence to enterprise program management standards, methodologies, and best practices
• Monitor and report on program progress, milestones, and financials to executive stakeholders
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of interdependent projects within the program
• Manage resource allocation, budgets, timelines, and deliverables across multiple workstreams. Tracks expenditures and ensures costs are aligned with forecasts and deviations are communicated and managed. Provides awareness of estimate/ budget updates and variances
• Identify risks, dependencies, and change impacts; develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success
• Serve as the primary liaison between business leaders, project teams, and key stakeholders
• Facilitate effective communication, engagement, and decision-making across all levels of the organization
• Balances the needs and expectations of diverse groups while driving alignment and adoption of enterprise initiatives through clear messaging and stakeholder collaboration
• Evaluate program outcomes and proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in governance, tools, and processes and implement changes
• Mentor and train project managers and program team members in enterprise delivery standards and leadership practices

What It Takes
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, information technology or a related area or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of direct program or project management in enterprise-level or large-scale initiatives
• Experience managing complex programs consisting of multiple projects with multiple inter-dependencies
• Experience indirectly/directly leading cross functional teams to deliver on highly complex programs
• Experience with standard project management tools and dashboards
• Experience in delivering programs in a matrixed organization
• Innate sense of accountability/responsibility for successful delivery
• Strong influence, organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Skilled in engaging and communicating with a diverse range of individuals at varying levels, including software developers, engineers, executives, manufacturing staff, and other business professionals
• Financial acumen and experience managing large program budgets
• Ability to navigate organizational complexity and drive cross-functional collaboration
• Effective and adaptable style that aligns with the Protolabs culture, emphasizing collaboration, flexibility, innovation, and results orientation
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build trusted relationships across the organization
• Experience with enterprise delivery frameworks (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall) and transformation programs
• Formal project management training
What Makes You Stand Out
• PMI, PMP or PgMP certification
• Understanding of websites, client-server applications, software architectures
• Experience in managing enterprise-wide projects (e.g. CRM, ERP)
• Working knowledge of digital manufacturing

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
