About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join our team at Proto Labs, a leader in digital manufacturing. This role involves leading a team of software engineers, quality analytics, and technical product managers who provide software development that drives our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work with senior management to set overall project priorities and manage software aspects of projects
- →Assist team members with problem analysis, estimating, software design, development, and testing of custom .Net and Java applications
- →Recommend process improvements to achieve higher levels of software quality
- →Hire, manage, and develop a skilled staff
- →Provide ongoing management and development of team members, including mentoring on advances in software development
- →Monitor process quality and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- ✓Experience demonstrating leadership on a software development team
- ✓Experience providing technical work direction and coaching for team members
- ✓Experience leading groups of developers using agile development practices like Scrum
- ✓Experience leading software projects that include both technical and business customers
- ✓Proficiency or understanding of CI & CD practices
- ✓Proven experience working at a high technical level of all phases of programming activities
