The Software Engineer shall develop new capabilities, as identified by the Government, and shall deliver operational software algorithms that implement these new capabilities. Using simulated run data and actual in-water run data as provided by the Government, the contractor shall, using system performance analysis, deliver technical reports of torpedo performance. The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include: • Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications. • Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of software engineering. • May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. • Familiarity with Linux and C++. • Comply with applicable quality and security procedures in the performance of duties. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5+ years software engineering experience. • Experience creating, reviewing, and maintaining software systems using Linux and C++. • Effective customer and organizational level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
