About the Role
Qualysoft Group is seeking a Backend Developer to join their team. This role involves designing and building product-oriented backend systems for AI-driven search and recommendations, working with scalable, high-performance Python services, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and build product-oriented backend systems for AI-driven search and recommendations
- →Develop scalable, high-performance Python services used in real customer-facing products
- →Translate business and user needs into practical, high-impact technical solutions
- →Work closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams
- →Leverage modern AI tools to maximize engineering speed and quality
- →Take ownership of systems end-to-end, from design through production and monitoring
Requirements
- ✓Strong experience with Python (3.12+) and modern async backend development
- ✓Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio, and Python tooling (uv, pytest, ruff, mypy)
- ✓Good understanding of event-driven and distributed systems (Kafka)
- ✓Experience with vector databases (Qdrant, Redis, TopK)
- ✓Familiarity with observability & monitoring (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir)
- ✓Experience with performance and load testing (Infinity, Locust)
- ✓Solid infrastructure experience on GCP (Cloud Run, GKE)
- ✓Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- ✓CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions
- ✓Comfortable working in a monorepo environment (e.g. mise)
- ✓Experience with data processing libraries (Ray, Polars, Pandas)
