THE ROLE
Product Compliance Manager, Home
We are seeking a Product Compliance Manager to build and manage a comprehensive product compliance program across our Home furnishings category. This role will focus on ensuring products meet all labeling, packaging, safety, and regulatory requirements for the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and European Union.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in product regulatory compliance for home furnishings or consumer products, including labeling requirements, packaging compliance, product safety regulations, and supplier compliance programs.
This role will partner closely with product development, sourcing, packaging, quality, and legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Build and Lead the Product Compliance Program
β’ Develop and implement a scalable global product compliance program for Quince Home products.
β’ Establish compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures covering product labeling, packaging, and regulatory requirements.
β’ Create standardized processes for product compliance review during new product development and commercialization.
β’ Build internal compliance documentation, SOPs, and governance processes.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
β’ Ensure all Home products meet regulatory requirements in the US, Canada, UK, and EU, including applicable safety, chemical, labeling, and packaging regulations.
β’ Monitor regulatory developments and proactively update internal requirements and policies.Conduct compliance risk assessments and audits to identify potential gaps.
β’ Manage product compliance documentation including test reports, certifications, declarations of conformity, and technical files.
Product Labeling & Packaging Compliance
β’ Develop labeling standards for home furnishings including:Law labelsFiber content labels.
β’ Country of origin labelingSafety and warning labelsCare instructionsSustainability claims.
β’ Ensure packaging meets global requirements including:Environmental and sustainability regulations.
β’ Recycling and disposal labelingExtended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations.
β’ Work with packaging teams to ensure compliance with evolving global packaging regulations and sustainability requirements.
Supplier & Product Development Collaboration
β’ Partner with sourcing teams and suppliers to ensure compliance requirements are understood and implemented during manufacturing.
β’ Develop supplier compliance guidelines and onboarding standards.Review new products to ensure compliance before market launch.
β’ Support testing programs with third-party labs for product safety and regulatory compliance.
Internal Training & Cross-Functional Support
β’ Educate internal teams on product compliance requirements and best practices.
β’ Develop training materials and compliance tools for product development, sourcing, and merchandising teams.
β’ Serve as the subject matter expert for regulatory and compliance questions related to Home products.
Compliance Monitoring & Documentation
β’ Establish compliance tracking systems for product certifications and testing.
β’ Maintain product compliance files and documentation required by regulatory authorities.
β’ Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, recalls, or compliance investigations if needed.
Qualifications
β’ 6β10+ years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, or quality compliance
β’ Experience in home furnishings, furniture, textiles, or consumer products
β’ Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements across multiple markets including:

β’ Canada
β’ United Kingdom
β’ European Union
β’ Experience with:
β’ Product labeling requirements
β’ Packaging compliance
β’ Product safety regulations
β’ Supplier compliance programs
β’ Experience managing third-party testing and certification programs
β’ Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
β’ Experience building compliance programs in a high-growth retail or e-commerce company
β’ Knowledge of regulations such as:

β’ Furniture flammability regulations
β’ Textile labeling requirements
β’ EU packaging directives
β’ Experience with compliance management systems or PLM tools
