About the Role
We are seeking a System Patching Specialist to ensure system security and functionality through effective patch management. This role involves auditing patching success, performing manual patching, and running scripts to manage system updates.
Key Responsibilities
- →Audit patching success and failure
- →Perform manual patching of systems using approved vendor patch lists
- →Conduct manual patching when specific procedures are required for application shutdown/startup
- →Run pre-written PowerShell scripts to safely restart applications
- →Create and decommission printer records using VPSX
- →Use VPSX logging to assist in troubleshooting printing issues
- →Set up records and send test prints using EPIC text
Requirements
- ✓Experience with SolarWinds WSUS management interface
- ✓Proficiency in using VPSX for printing management
- ✓Understanding of selective OS patching methods
- ✓Basic knowledge of PowerShell ISE and running scripts
- ✓Basic understanding of active directory and GPO management
